Bio
Alison Rose (Crumb) enters her sixteenth year as head coach at Peninsula College, where she has built a destination program for women’s community college basketball. Coach Rose has qualified for the NWAC Basketball Championship Tournament 14 straight years. In 2015, Coach Rose and the Pirates won the College’s second North Division Championship to qualify to the NWAC tournament as a No. 1 seed, where the Pirates soared past the competition to win Peninsula’s first-ever NWAC Women’s Basketball Championship with an overall record of 24-4. She guided her Pirates on championship runs in 2016, 2022, 2023, 2024 and 2025 earning second and third place finishes in all of those seasons. Coach Rose has also had an outstanding track record of moving her players on to the next level. A Port Angeles native, she began her college playing and coaching career following an outstanding career as a Port Angeles Roughrider. She then led the Pirates to Peninsula’s first division championship in women’s basketball in 2005, when she set a school record for assists. She went on to play at Western Oregon University where she got her bachelor’s degree in English literature. She returned to Peninsula as an assistant coach and was then promoted to the head coaching position in 2009. She has a master’s degree in educational leadership.
